NearVision CK®
NearVision CK® is perfect for individuals over 40 who now
wear reading glasses but have otherwise had good vision throughout
their lives. NearVision CK® has also been used to treat patients
with hyperopia (farsightedness). The procedure is quick and does
not require the patient to wear an eye patch after the treatment
is completed. Most patients can return to work a few days after
NearVision CK®.
When you visit our surgery center for an evaluation, our refractive
coordinator will discuss NearVision CK® in detail so you
can make an informed decision about the health of your eyes.
We are pleased to offer vision procedure financing. So call

How does NeaVision CK® work?
Conductive Keratoplasty (NearVision CK), FDA-approved for the
treatment of presbyopia, is a vision correction option for
individuals 40 years and older who have had good distance vision
their entire life and now need to use eyeglasses for reading.
NearVision CK® is a refractive surgical procedure that
uses radiofrequency energy to reshape the cornea. Inserting
a small probe into the peripheral cornea, the doctor applies
radiofrequency energy in concentric rings of multiple spots.
The radiofrequency energy reshapes the corneal periphery without
removing any tissue, causing the central part of the cornea
to steepen to improve near vision. NearVision CK® is performed
on an outpatient basis with topical anesthesia. CK is also
useful to treat low levels of hyperopia.
Is NearVision CK® really "Freedom From Reading Glasses"?
Presbyopia is an age-related eye condition that affects everyone
some time after age 40, making it difficult to focus on objects
up close. Presbyopia usually affects reading vision. NearVision
CK® is performed using the ViewPoint® CK System, the
only FDA-approved technology for presbyopic patients who want
to improve their near vision. If your tired of needing glasses
to read, you may be a candidate for NearVision CK®.
